Merino Linen Silk | Clowning Around

A soft single ply, sports weight, merino, silk and linen blend yarn with texture and a gentle tweedy haze. Nylon free.

The natural linen gives the yarn a textured finish with subtle drape. When dyed with acid dyes, the linen resists the dye and remains white, producing a halo of linen fibres.

It is ideal for trans-seasonal items such as cowls, shawls and lightweight tops.

60% Superwash Merino, 20% Linen Yarn, 20% Silk

Recommended Needle Size: 2.5 - 4mm needles
Gauge (stocking stitch): 28sts x 36 rows over 10cm/4 inches
on 3.25mm (US 3) needles

Care - Handwash only. We recommend that all our hand dyed yarns are hand washed in cool or tepid water and dried flat for best care regardless of superwash or natural.
