NFA Merino Bamboo DK

This is a beautiful soft and drapey yarn that is gorgeous for all kinds of fibre crafts.

The Merino is soft, durable and provides memory for this yarn and the bamboo is cool and gives this the feel of having silk in it but without the silk. Unlike Linen, the bamboo fibre is not stiff or scratchy, actually completely the opposite.

Bamboo fibre is often touted as being eco friendly and sustainable due to it's ability to grow so quickly, however the processing of most bamboo fibres (viscose bamboo) uses harsh chemicals.

The natural bamboo in this yarn is not 'viscose bamboo' but natural, it doesn't go through the viscose process and is therefore much more environmentally friendly.

Care - This is a superwash yarn and therefore can be washed on a gentle machine wash, however we recommend that all our hand dyed yarns are hand washed in cool water for best care.
