The Details
Yarn colors will be inspired by, but are not limited to, the monthly mood board offering a variety of colour variations throughout the year. Expect a mix of solids, tonals, and lightly speckled yarns for a beautifully diverse collection.
There is the option to add an extra's bundle which includes a bar of our cold processed soap, a themed stitch marker to collect and some refreshing tea to enjoy while you are crafting. You can also choose to add on a bundle of mini skeins and extra soaps. Please see this listing here to add your extras. (if you do not wish to include anything extra you will receive just the yarn you ordered in a pared back version of our usual yarn club).
Please note that items ordered together with yarn club subscriptions will be shipped at the same time as the club. If you need other items sooner, we recommend placing a separate order.
Select your preferred yarn base and the number of skeins you would like to order. For orders exceeding four skeins or if you wish to mix and match yarn bases within the same club, email us at naturalfibrearts@gmail.com. We’ll happily organize a custom invoice so you’re not charged twice for shipping.
Yarn clubs close at the end of the previous month and are shipped by the middle of the corresponding month. This allows us time to dye the yarn and curate the special treats we include. For example, January yarn clubs are pre-ordered in December, closing at the end of the month. They will be dyed in the first week of January and shipped as soon as they are ready.
Yarn bases will vary with the Australian seasons. Alongside our regular bases, you’ll see seasonal additions throughout the year—such as sparkle yarns near Christmas, cotton or linen blends in the warmer months, and heavier-weight yarns like DK and Aran during cooler seasons.
Yarn Base Information for this Month
Lace Weight (2 Ply)
Egyptian Lace - 50% Alpaca 25% Silk 25% Linen. A beautiful natural look yarn that has a lovely drape and is suitable for most garments. The alpaca adds softness, the silk a lovely sheen and the linen a natural look and feel that just gets better and better the more it is washed and worn. 800m per 100 gram skein.
Fingering Weight (4 Ply)
Lux Sock Mini Skein Pack - You will receive 5 x 20 mini skeins in a set. Fingering weight 85% Australian Merino 15% Nylon. A soft gorgeous yarn for any project.
Soft Sock - Introducing our new sock yarn, a luxurious replacement for our Eco Lux Sock. Sourced directly from an Australian mill, it offers superior softness and supports local businesses—something we’re passionate about. Made from 75% Australian-grown fine Merino wool and 25% Nylon, this yarn is baby-soft against the skin and wonderfully versatile for all your knitting and crochet projects. Each 100-gram skein provides 390 meters.
Merino Silk Cashmere - This is one of our favorite luxury yarn bases—a fingering weight blend of 70% Merino, 20% Silk, and 10% Cashmere, offering 400 meters per 100 grams. Exceptionally soft and luxurious, it features a beautiful drape and a gentle sheen from the silk, while the cashmere adds an extra touch of softness and indulgence. The Merino contributes excellent elasticity, ensuring your finished garment retains its shape beautifully.
Merino Silk Yak - This luxurious yarn blend of 60% Merino, 20% Silk, and 20% Yak is one of our regular favorites. Perfect for sweaters, shawls, hats, scarves, and more—though not ideal for socks—it offers exceptional softness, a lovely drape, and a subtle sheen. The natural grey base adds depth and richness to dyed colors, while the yak fibre imparts a delicate grey halo effect. With 366 meters per 100 grams, it's a dream to work with.
Egyptian 4 Ply - 50% Alpaca 25% Silk 25% Linen. This stunning yarn offers a natural look with excellent drape, making it perfect for a wide range of garments. DK Merino Superwash - 100% Superwash Australian Merino -225m.
100 gram skein. A versatile yarn for all types of projects and beautiful for baby clothes and blankets. Washable in cold water on a gentle machine cycle, however we recommend all hand dyed yarn is gently hand washed and layed flat to dry.
DK Merino Natural (Non-Superwash) 100% Australian Merino - 225m per 100 grams. Our ethically sourced, sustainable and non mulesed, Australian grown fine Merino (19.5 micron).
Care - Handwash only. We recommend that all our hand dyed yarns are hand washed in cool or tepid water and dried flat for best care regardless of superwash or natural.
Small batches hand-dyed in our studio located in Brisbane, Australia. We try to represent colourways as accurately as possible in our product photos. Individual skeins may vary slightly and we recommend you alternate between skeins every few rows on larger projects. Please ensure you buy enough to finish your project as future dye lots may have subtle differences.
