Night Rainbow is a new experimental colourway which we just love! This colour came out of the dye pans while we were in an experimental mood which has created this gorgeous deep moody colourway. The base colour is very black with moody oil spill colours of pink, green, blue and yellow glazing. It's very hard to photograph but we have done our best. The swatch photo shows the lighter areas of grey a little lighter than they are. Just know, it is very dark but colourful in a moody kind of way.

Once the ready to ship yarns are sold out they will be available as a custom order. We usually ship custom orders withing a week of ordering at the latest.

The Yarn

4 ply - Fingering Weight
Ultra fine 19.5 micron, 85% Australian Merino, 15% Biodegradable Nylon. 100 grams - 400 metres (437 yds).

Beautiful and soft fingering weight yarn. This yarn is gorgeous in sweaters and cardigans, scarves or cowls close to your neck, soft enough for children's clothing and baby items.

What is the Biodegradable bit? This new nylon is biodegradable in landfill conditions. Tests have shown that it will break down in just 5 years whereas regular nylon in other yarns takes decades! It is still just as strong and durable under normal wearing conditions so it's a win win for those of us who love our sock yarn but are concerned about how much nylon and microfibres are in landfill.

Custom Orders

We like a quick turnaround for our custom orders and aim to have them dyed and shipped within a week of your order being placed.

Care

Handwash only We recommend that all our hand dyed yarns are hand washed in cool or tepid water and dried flat for best care.

Small batch dyed in Brisbane, Australia. We try to represent colourways as accurately as possible in our product photos. Colours may vary slightly from skein to skein, even within the same dyelot, which is the nature of hand-dyeing.  Please ensure you buy enough to finish your project as future dyelots may have subtle differences. We also recommend that you alternate between skeins every few rows on larger projects.
